Abstract: This paper highlights an initiative of the Faculty of Pedagogy at Károli Gáspár University of the Reformed Church in Hungary. Organized for five consecutive years at the Faculty of Pedagogy, this international poetry recitation and illustration competition provides a platform for young talents to demonstrate their skills, with the aim of preserving cultural heritage and nurturing tradition. Students from higher education institutions in Hungary, the Carpathian Basin, and other countries – primarily those specialising in teacher training – take part in the competition. Over the past five years, about 400 young participants have advanced to the finals. The study also examines talent development through the complexity of the arts and investigates how a shared language can strengthen community bonds at personal and institutional levels.
