Abstract: This study investigates how adolescents in Hungary engage with devotional practices. Traditional devotions consisted of songs, prayers, Bible readings, and preaching. Between 2016 and 2025, more than twenty survey-based studies were conducted, complemented by regular interactive evaluation sessions with both adolescent participants and university-age leaders. Practices such as small-group prayers, Taizé-style songs, guided prayer walks, and personal testimonies enhanced engagement. The findings suggest that effective devotions integrate personal and communal dimensions, and are characterized by the active involvement of participants. When teenagers engage in such interactive settings, devotions can become formative experiences rather than routine exercises.
