Abstract: Various forms of online education – including digital remote education – have come into the limelight among educational experts and researchers in recent years due to several factors, e.g., the emergency situation of the 2020-2021 lockdown period (Sabin, Jin & Smith, 2021). Also, there are complex changes and issues in the rapidly changing 21st century environment and therefore, it can be regarded as a relevant initiative to examine the challenges that stakeholders in educational processes have had to face of late. In the present study semi-structured interviews (N=5) were conducted aiming to explore what affective behaviour patterns the interviewed university professors (N=5) observed during their online university oral exams. The content analysis of the data aimed to elicit answers to the research question that what characterises examinees’ online language exam related anxiety based on the interviewed university professors’ perceptions related to vivas.
