Abstract: The Lutheran and Reformed churches in Hungary participate in an international research on confirmation. The research examines among others the questions of the religiosity of confirmands during confirmation time, their satisfaction with the preparation and the celebration, their motivations, how learning and teaching takes place, and the effect of family religious socialization on confirmands. The feedback-based survey is a valuable tool for identifying strategic points in the contextual confirmation ministry of the churches and also for addressing issues concerning the effects and the question of the follow-up of confirmation. The paper highlights results of the research from the point of view of the Hungarian results.
