Abstract: As part of the education of future businessmen, marketers and managers, who are essen-tially confronted with news of various types from the global environment on a daily basis, it is important to focus on working with the media and cultivating media literacy in the pedagogical process. The aim of the paper is to identify changes in the level of media lit-eracy under the influence of the educational process. The research is aimed at students of the Corporate Business and Marketing master's degree study program at the Faculty of Business Economy of the University of Economics in Bratislava, with seat in Košice, who completed the course Internet communication. The overall results show that after com-pleting this course there was a statistically significant increase in critical consumer me-dia literacy in the case of the entire sample, while at the same time a higher rate of pro-gress reported women. A slight positive, but statistically insignificant shift also occurred in the case of perceived abilities to follow news from multiple sources and share them with others.
