Abstract: The use of infocommunication technology in education permits a more-elaborated practice of previously elaborated educational methods, like the flipped classroom. The method gains increasing attention in higher education because of its inherent possibility of developing higher-order thinking skills through interactive classroom methods. Results of a survey is presented aimed at investigating the level of awareness about this method among academics in Hungary and Romania, attitudes and experiences accumulated throughout implementation. Descriptive statistics are compared to results obtained in a similar survey implemented in the United States.

Keywords: Flipped classroom, attitude survey, faculty members
