Abstract: In 2020, digital learning outside the classroom was ordered in Hungary. “D-Igi Club”, the webinar of the Reformed Pedagogical Institute organized for school leaders was started then. This online professional forum helps the work of principals with analyses and horizontal flow of information. During the course of 15 months, 85 meetings were held. This paper examines RPI’s D-Igi Club as a research and development process (R&D); what factors contributed to the continuing, active participation. The research focuses on process description, statistical data analysis, and content analysis. The key findings: the RPI D-Igi Club supports the flow of information; it contributes to the continous professional development of leaders; and it promotes networking. The functions and the actions are coherent. Strategic thinking helps apprehend a crisis situation as an opportunity. Defining the functions will also help put together D-Igi Club’s program for next year; it is advisable to incorporate the elements of Value Driven Leadership into the program.
