Abstract: The aim of the study is to summarize and compare the most important labor market trends of the countries in Central Eastern Europe (V4-countries: Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland) along secondary information and labor market indicators, illustrating the processes of the years following the regime change, and especially the last decade. Today’s labor market, like other markets, is undergoing turbulent changes. In addition to the basic labor market indicators (total population, working age population, active population, employed population, unemployment rate, employment rate, participation rate), the study examines the most important processes and trends - demographic issues, robotics and automation, migration, fluctuation and the effects of the coronavirus epidemic (we also performed an analysis by economic sectors.). Certain sectors (eg. IT, logistics, etc.) were able to benefit from the pandemic, without significant disruption. Other sectors (e.g. hospitality and tourism) have experienced significant declines.
