Abstract: The preparatory curriculum for confirmation is one of the essential and actual issues of catechesis. The theological assessment of, as well as the catechetical and paedagogical approach to credal statemens, vows (confirmation) and its preparatory work, including the receiving party, the prerequisites, abilities, areas of interest, age determination of the pupil, and the current possibilities of preparation are factors that significantly influence the curriculum. The study builds some practical conclusions on the author’s previous theoretical research and practice. It outlines a possible curriculum, including weekly and monthly schedules respectively, in several categories: dogmatic knowledge, ecclesiastical knowledge, issues of Christian life and practice, church history, current issues.

Keywords: Curriculum, confirmation, catechism, catechesis
