Abstract: Usage of humor is important in Hungarian grammar and literature lessons. Humor makes learning more enjoyable, helps bring the subject closer, dissolves the atmosphere, reduces tension, helps with recall, and improves teacher-student relationship. Linguistic plays develop creativity and thinking. People can find a lot of literature-related linguistic plays on Facebook. The most popular linguistic plays on well-known poets and writers, and those made with a simple technique have the biggest popularity. The most popular examples include Sándor Petőfi, Endre Ady, Mihály Babits, Zsigmond Móricz, Attila József, János Arany. Linguistic plays that require a more thorough literary knowledge, or are about special topics, characters and genres, are less current on the Internet. These linguistic plays are created in various ways, but the most frequent methods are morphological reinterpretation and lexical ambiguity.
