Abstract: Prevention and intervention services provided in the early stages of life have significant impacts on children's development, the preservation of a family's internal resources, and their successes of social participation as well. In Hungary, pedagogical professional services are supported and regulated by a national system called „Protocol” from 2015 (Kereki, Szvatkó). The functions of sectors and service providers are coordinated by the “Childhood Pathway Program” developed between 2016–2022. This enables to avoid any service duplications between institutions, service providers, professionals and other sectors, also helps the communication link transparent for the participants. In our study, a special education teacher, a speech therapist, and a conductive education teacher present institutional and professional possibilities and aspirations of cooperation in a care model tailored to the special needs of a premature child and their family. The protocol includes a form already known in the healthcare and social sectors, but still little used in public education, called case discussion and case processing team.
