Abstract: THE MOTIVE OF THE JOURNEY TO THE WORLD IN REISEL'S COMPOSITION
NESKUTOČNÉ MESTO
The study The motive of the journey to the world in Reisel's composition Neskutočné mesto
focuses on the analysis of the subject motif in the well-known poetic composition of
Vladimír Reisel, an important representative of the generation of surrealism, which culminated
avant-garde tendencies in Slovak literature. Through the mentioned motif and its
variant, the author creates a specific atmosphere and theme of this poetic composition.
The study takes note of the inspiration, form and context of the work, deals with literary
relations and time-space contexts. In this context, the composition sounds like a personal
memory of youth and, at the same time, a serious statement about historical changes that
had a significant impact on individual being and social life.
Keywords: Surrealism, motive of the journey to the world, train journey motif, context, historical reality
