Abstract: In this study, I present the results of a research which I carried out by pre-school teacher students. The aim of the research was to investigate attitudes towards the creation of own texts. I was interested in whether the attitude towards writing for pleasure could change as a result of a task in which students could experience the phases and mechanisms of creating an independent writing, from brainstorming to multiple revisions and the final version. The theoretical background of the research is the process-based writing concept based on cognitive psychology. During the project I used creative writing techniques such as writing on external impulse and associative methods. The results show that the participants, who were initially unmotivated and lacked routine in independent textwriting and creative story-telling, gained a sense of achievement, confidence, writing courage and creative drive through the project.
Keywords: creative writing, writing attitude, process based writing, writing for pleasure, creating on musical impulse
