Abstract: The study presents the articles related to early childhood education in the most prominent period of the first professional journal in hungarian preschool history, „Kisdednevelés”. It briefly discusses the history of the establishment of the national association of preschool educators and the creation of the journal, the most important innovative pedagogical efforts of the era, and their connection to preschool education and the training of preschool teachers. It also delves into the educational activities of the editor-in-chief of that period, Elemér Kenyeres, and his involvement in preschool teacher training. Through the press we can gain insights into the practices of early childhood education and teacher training of the time, as well as the changes that occurred during that period. The study discusses the modifications and innovations resulting from the ministerial decree issued in 1926 that changed the duration of training to four years.
