Abstract: The financial services sector is one of the most digitally mature industries. The transition to digital operation can not only satisfy customer needs at a higher level, but also brings a series of additional advantages for banks and their employees. The introduction of artificial intelligence-based applications, which are a milestone in banking digitalization, not only facilitates the work done by people, but can now replace complete jobs. Using a qualitative research method, including the in-depth interview method we explored the human resources side of the digitalization of Slovak banks. In total, we assessed the answers of 14 employees of 6 different banks, they all have several decades of banking experience. According to our primary and secondary findings banking jobs in Slovakia are not in danger in the short term, but in the long run, a complete transformation of the labor market is expected globally.
