Abstract: Modern times demand solutions that are affordable, use commonly available and widely used hardware components, light but rather intuitive software, and do not require special training for operating personnel. In recent years, there has been extensive research in this area, which has resulted in many solutions of a universal nature applicable in virtually all areas of the economy, including agriculture. On the one hand, they enabled the support of automation in an autonomous direction, thus relieving the operator of part of the manual work, and, on the other hand, they also enabled an increase in productivity through targeted intervention and regulation. In our paper, we will focus on the design of such a system, which will meet the requirement of universality, will be adaptable to the specifics of cultivation but also of the grower, and will be energy-efficient. Nevertheless, the system must be sufficiently robust and have a reserve of computing power, it must use commonly available sensor modules, but it must also have a user interface.
