Abstract: In the 21st century, thanks to the dynamic and extremely fast pace of development and the complexity of corporate activities, the creation and operation of knowledge-oriented organizational cultures has become a kind of expectation. In recent years, knowledge management has been one of the most valuable and challenging areas of research in economic life, and its scope of use is constantly expanding. The importance and timeliness of our study lies in the fact that business is currently living in a phase where competition is dominated by knowledge, expertise and innovation practices. The primary goal of the authors is to shed light on the increasing importance of the role of knowledge management in the life of organizations. Our study is a theoretical overview, in which we examine the role of knowledge management in the life of organizations with the help of secondary data collection.
