Abstract: This study examines whether indicators of teacher effectiveness in digital literacy align in value-based schools and in local schools according to the opinion of parents. Previous research has shown that efficiency of teacher performance is influenced by the image lives in studenst families about the school and teachers. This study used an online questionnaire to ask parents of students at public and parochial institucions how effective they found the help that teachers provided for digital learning. It also explored what abbilities are required for the teachers to be competent in effective teaching. The results are showing that teachers in value-based schools are mainly expected to be helpful and emphatic, however teachers in local schools are more expected to pay attention to individual needs, to clearly prescribe expectations and to provide consecutive feedback.
