Abstract: László Ravasz is unquestionably one of the most defining Reformed bishops. In his epis-copal ministry, he could not and did not want to remain silent about the Trianon-tragedy and its impact. The experience of fragmentation which followed Trianon is very similar to the experience of fragmentation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the resulting lockdowns and quarantine. In the sermons of Ravasz the tragedy of Trianon appears as an event from the hand of God and the theological reason behind it is the sin of pride. In his view, the spiri-tual healing after such a tragedy is in the spiritual unity that can only be experienced in Christ. Because of this his entire ministry – as bishop and preacher – was characterized by mission and evangelism. Based on the parallels observed between the COVID-19 pandemic and the Trianon event, Ravasz would certainly emphasize the urgent importance of evange-lization even now on the centenary of his episcopal inauguration.
