Abstract: ErnőFodor's private music school, founded in 1903, had a significant impact on similar music educa-tion institutions of the period, as the introduction and testing of innovative educational methods and music pedagogical innovations, as well as the high professionalism of the music teachers employed at the institution[1], contributed to the realisation of the foundations of professional music education and music pedagogical thinking in Hungary[2]. The success of the music education institution, which orig-inally started as an academic preparatory course, is nowadays proven by the 118 active years of teach-ing, in which the pedagogical values born here are linked to the names of outstanding teachers[3], and the success of the pedagogical thinking created in the spirit of the institution is attested by the long list of outstanding students who have chosen to attend the school.[4][5]
