Abstract: Sufficient sleep amount in all age is very important. When primary school children does not get enough sleep, it is reflected on their every day activities like family life, friendships, school and sport. During our work, we focused on the sleep habits of primary school students, during which 194 parents filled out our questionnaire about the sleep habits of their children. Respondents were divided into two main groups, lower (6-11 years old) and upper grade students (12-16 years old). Our research shows that children sleep less, compared to the recommendations of the literature, which are given on the basis of their physiological needs. We were curious about the quality of children's sleep, the degree of fatigue or rest, for the use of sleep aids, for the activity they perform before falling asleep and for the consumption of caffeinated drinks. It is very astonishing, that 80% of respondents use a phone, tablet or computer just before bedtime.
