Abstract: The study aims to determine the servant leadership as an effective and unique style of leadership. It is a leadership philosophy and a set of leadership practices at one time which turns the power pyramid upside down. It focuses on serving others to perform the necessary tasks. Servant leadership is such a value for companies which is difficult to quantify, nevertheless its value is greater than anything. In the absence of it the competitiveness of the company remains below. In the first chapter I define the meaning of servant leadership and I compare it with the command leadership style, then I present the core elements of servant leadership. This is followed by the demonstration of the characteristics of servant leader. Last but not least I highlight the importance and critical parts of emotional intelligence as the key element of servant leadership. The conclusion of the research can be found at the closing chapter of the study.
