Abstract: Improving health literacy is a long-term program for all ages. It starts in the family, at all levels of educational institutions. The quality of health education should be designed in such a way that a lifelong commitment is made to preserve health and prevent disease. The practical relevance of our Dietetics course study is that the assumed positive change in students' health education will have an impact on the development of health-related knowledge and commitment of future generations. This is made possible by the paradigm of the learning outcomes-based approach to higher education, which necessitates the application of competencies acquired by students. As a first step, it is essential to identify the elements of health literacy, to study the development of the elements. Biology teacher training has a key role to play in shaping the health literacy of the next generation and in improving the health activity and independence of individuals.
