Abstract: Today's students - members of the Z generation - have been born into the digital world. They expect continuous ways of expressions and visual stimuli. In frontal education it is becoming increasingly difficult to maintain their attention and motivate them. The teaching methods should also respond flexibly and follow the changed needs of the generation. One of the possible ways to maintain motivation is to use gaming in education, using game elements in a non-game environment. The study presents the partial results of an exploratory research conducted by students of the Faculty of Economics of SJE. The main aim of our research is to reveal the students' opinion on the introduction of a possible new methodology. Our questions are about their motivation and what kind of tasks they want during their studies. The results show that students need and love non-traditional exercises and are mostly motivated by internal motivations.
