Abstract:
The camp pedagogy and the hidden extracurriculum
What can we consider as a camp today? What are the basics of pedagogy of camps, which
part of educational science are closely related to it? How can camps be classified?
Summarizing these unique features, to camp is a multi-day, intense (1), off-site, leisure-time
program (2) with a covert impact, including a pedagogical goal (3).
All in all, camp pedagogy is a socio-pedagogical and leisure-pedagogical-rooted, open-ended,
non-directional, situational, community-based, activity-based, laissez-faire, nature-close, nonperformance-
oriented, learning-like educational area.
