Abstract: In many countries in Europe, euthanasia and assisted suicide is a legal option and, which raises complex issues in the Christian culture, is highly doubtful about their moral acceptability. One of the important tasks of the science of practical theology is to support alternative gentle solutions and to promote them with their own means. Based on the results of our questionnaire-based research, it can be said that institutional strengthening of spiritual care and "orientation" type pastoral care can be of great importance because it can contribute to shap the patient's attitudes. Therefore, in the future, we should put more emphasis on the development and practical work of the methodology of the "orientation" type pastoral care.
