Abstract: The article points to the existence of the Slovaks in the Lowland with a special regard to Romania. It briefly describes their historical development and linguistic specifics which are given as determinants of existence. In addition, it highlights and adequately discusses the various circumstances which are an indispensable component of the uniqueness of a nation or nationality. It looks at specific attributes that fulfill the assertive role and function of maintaining the national awareness of Slovaks in Romania with regard to the traditions. It characterizes important cultural monuments and events of both material and non-material nature (churches, schools, newspapers, folklore festivals, mass media, amateur theater ensembles, etc.), their article not only to the region but also to their effect abroad, on the European Union's soil. Thus, the local and global are combined, creating values not only at home but also in the wider neighborhood: in the European Union. The cardinal part of the article is the analysis of individual literary outcomes of the given nationality, which imply some developmental impulses of culture in a broad sense, at least towards Slovakia as the motherland of ancestors within the European Union. Obviously, in the various interpreted (literary) works, the themes that are thematically oriented towards the wider geographical parts of Europe are also observed. Thus, the cultural aspect and the multidimensional principle of the Slovaks' creativity in the territory of today's Romania are being created.
